RIM has quite a number of new BlackBerry models lined up to be released in the coming months. Photos of the Touch and the Bold Touch had already leaked earlier. Now, the Torch 2 and the Curve Touch can join the club.
The new BlackBerry models have the typical BlackBerry look, so there is nothing revolutionary going on on the outside. But under the hood, however, there is a major shift going on. No longer does RIM make use of Marvell processors, which it has used for a long time. Now, Qualcomm processors are what make these new BlackBerry models tick. The new models will run BlackBerry OS 6.1.
A couple of weeks from now, RIM will be having its own BlackBerry World event in Orlando. At this event, new and upcoming BlackBerry models are usually introduced. It is not known whether all the leaked BlackBerry’s will have their introduction at this event. Most of the time, specs and pics of new models leak much longer before this event.
The leaked photos below show the following models:
- BlackBerry Apollo
- BlackBerry Dakota
- BlackBerry Storm
- BlackBerry Touch Monaco
- BlackBerry Orlando
- BlackBerry Torch 2 9810
One great improvement is that the BlackBerry Torch 2 9210 has its resolution updated from 360×480 to 640×480.
Next to leaked BlackBerry photos, there are also these spec sheets that confirm the existance of RIM’s new smartphones.
