Samsung has a new top model coming up one of these months. We’re talking about none other than the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S2 smartphone.

Recently, Samsung has released some specs on the Galaxy S2, from which we have learned that its dual core processor will be clocked at no less than 1.2GHz.

This Android smartphone will soon see its official release in many countries across the globe.

Samsung has come out publically on Facebook with the message that it has increased the clock speed of its Exynos processor. This official statement can be read on Facebook (I hope you have an English translation browser plugin handy).

What cannot be verified as fact at this moment, is whether the Galaxy 2S will run at 1.2GHz all throughout the world. It is possible that it will in some countries, but not others. Samsung has built up a bit of a reputation for releasing different models in different countries as of late.

Rumors are circulating on the web that Samsung is going to release an alternative version of its Galaxy S2 smartphone as well. This version is said to be running on Nvidia’s Tegra 2 processor. This processor also normally runs at a default speed of 1GHz.

Samsung introduced its Galaxy S2 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress some time ago. This smartphone will have a 4.3” screen with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. Samsung is incorporating its self developed Super Amoled Plus screen type. But Samsung might also release a version with Super Clear LCD technology, because of Super Amoled Plus resource deficits.

On top of that, the Galaxy S2’s camera will have no less than 8 megapixel. The Galaxy S2 will not be the first to have an impressive camera onboard. After all, the Nokia N8 (which is already for sale) has a 12 megapixel camera. But 8 megapixel should already be enough for most people.

The Android operating system that the Galaxy S2’s smartphone runs on, is version 2.3. However, Samsung has created its own user interface for it.
