Everybody knows that Samsung’s Galaxy line of mobile devices is a line of big successes. Life doesn’t end with the Galaxy S2, Galaxy Tab or the Galaxy Xcover. The Galaxy S Glide is coming, and Rogers (the ISP) is the one that has the honor of releasing it to the public under its own brand.
Rogers is planning on releasing this phone just in time for the holidays, which I think means that you’ll be able to pick it up around November or so. No pricing information was made available. Thankfully, there are a few specifications for us to look at!
First off… the Galaxy S Glide sets itself apart from the rest of the Galaxy phones in that it is the first one (that I know of) to have a physical qwerty keyboard that slides (or should I say ‘glides’?) out. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual processor and it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It has a 8 megapixel camera and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for Android video chats.
The 4” display is a super amoled display. Because of the fact that it has a physical keyboard onboard, it is a little thicker than most phones. Understandably so.
